Cannavaro Out of Euro 2008

Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro was injured in training today going for a 50-50 ball with Giorgio Chiellini.  He lay on the ground after and had to be carried off on a stretcher and taken to hospital where it was determined he damaged ankle ligaments and will most likely need surgery. Alessandro Gamberini who plays domestically with Fiorentina has been called into the squad to take the place of Cannavaro.
